7$ Club is launching in Fall 2024! Add your email to be notified!

Writing is lonely work, which requires faith in yourself, energy, self-love and optimism. Honoring your writing while simultaneously trying to have a relatively normal existence is not easy.

This is where 7$ club comes in.

7$ club is a support group that provides an inspirational and knowledge-sharing space for writers. It serves writers who have the ambition to make a living from writing.

Here you’ll find connection with writers in the same position as you.

7 dollars a month gets you access to:

  • Our virtual rooms that let you connect with other serious writers about practical things like our writing practice, what we’re working on, what we’re reading, publishing resources and tips, upcoming conferences and retreats, as well as not so concrete things like self-doubt, procrastination, and balancing work and family with writing time.

  • Monthly writing themes with recommended reading.

  • 1x a month writing and reading discussion with generative writing workshop.

  • 1 ticket to annual 7$ Club Writer’s Party in Miami, Florida.

You are right for this community if you:

  • Have published a book or two

  • Haven’t published a book yet, but maybe published a few pieces and are actively working on a book

  • At some point admitted people know more than you about writing, and have sought out a way to obtain some of that knowledge. For instance, you have gone for an MFA, or got your degree in English, or did some private lessons or formal workshops or conferences.

  • Have writing heroes

  • Have strong opinions whenever you read anything, but when it comes to feedback you know how to give it constructively because it’s what you want

  • Have a writing practice (you can have problems sticking to it, but you have it in your soul)

  • Have an extra $7 a month to spend

You are a great person, but you won’t get much or be able to give much to this community if:

  • You have never written a poem, short story, article, novel, or other formal piece before

  • You think writing is cool, but it’s not something you do or think about regularly

  • You have never sought out education in writing

  • You don’t have a writing practice

  • You are looking to go somewhere to “learn about writing” or to “find time to write” or to “be in community”

  • You write adjacently to your true passion and craft, like illustration or music

  • You don’t have $7 a month extra to spend
